Skills Development

The Day Centre provides a range of educational and recreational opportunities including IT, literacy support, creative writing, art therapy, woodwork, gardening and other classes in addition to providing guidance and support to people wishing to access employment and training. The centre also runs a support group for women, to provide opportunities for them to access meaningful occupation and peer support.

In May 2007, the centre secured a three-year grant from the Big Lottery to employ 1.5 additional staff and develop this area of work.
